Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, - Mercy Loomis Interview
So what is it about the supernatural that lights your fire?
I've always been really fascinated by the supernatural. I grew up in a haunted house, which is not as much fun as you might think. But what I really love about the genre is its flexibility. You can do so much with it, and there is something really gripping about a hidden world within our own.
What's your poison, Vamp, Were, Zombie?
Out of the three, vampires. Vampires are my first love, paranormally speaking.
What makes them sexy?
The danger aspect. I don't go in for the "misunderstood monster" vampires or the "in search of redemption" vampires. My vampires are lethal. They live according to different rules than humans do. For me, they are the outlaw-biker-boyfriend on crack.
Have you ever had a Supernatural experience?
Oh yes, lots. Mostly psychic experiences (man that sounds corny) and encounters with ghosts/spirits/discarnate entities. (I'm convinced one of the entities in the house I grew up in was never human to begin with. My sister's not so sure.)
What is your secret guilty pleasure? I adore Winnie the Pooh. Your turn.
Hmm, that's hard. I'm not a very secretive person. Maybe that I still read "A Little Princess" every couple of years? Most of my guilty pleasures involve food that is bad for me, like Old Dutch Pickle Chips. Mmm!
